If you see your new pup vomit all over the place, I can assure you that it is not a pleasant experience that you want to have. The only option that you have is guessing how your puppy feels and learn how long he/she has felt this way. You dog may vomit due to many reasons, I will show you some of the possible causes here.

As dogs like to explore things using their mouth, they will try to ingest anything that is able to fit into their mouth. Most of the time all you will have to worry about cleaning up the mess from all of their chewing, however sometimes they will eat something that upsets their tummy. The first thing you want to do is look around the house or your dog for the evidence your puppy has been eating something other than dog food. When you confirm that your dog is vomiting due to eating unappropriated items, you should take you dog to see a vet immediately.
If you happened to change a new dog food, this may cause puppy vomiting too. It is believed that pure breed dog is more prone with this type of dog vomiting reaction when comparing with mixed dog breed. If you faced this type of puppy vomiting, you are left with 2 options. You may wait for your dog to adjust itself with the food or you may change the dog food back to the original one.

Another puppy vomiting cause is by common parasites like worms. This type of vomiting will often have evidence of the worms in the regurgitated substance. If this is the case, you may either bring your dog to see a vet or just buy over the counter worm medication. You should see the improvement of your dog in just a very short time. Now, there are cases when parasite infestation can become too severe for this type of treatment. If your dog's condition is still not improving in a couple of days, then you should really bring him visit a vet.

Your dogs may also vomit due to some other health problems. One of the most serious dog health conditions is parvo virus. This is a disease commonly passed from dog to dog, it is highly communicable and in many cases, the animal will not survive. Puppy vaccination is a very good solution to protect puppies from this virus. Their natural antibodies that inheritable from their mother are useful too but it is not lasting long. In addition to your puppy vomiting, they will be lethargic, feverish, avoid food and have diarrhea that is often bloody. Your best defense against canine disease is a regular routine of vaccinations and veterinary checks.

The above is just a simple list that may cause your dog to vomit. Puppy vomiting may not be serious in most cases, but if the issue is persistent, you should take the final approach by visiting a vet.
